When choosing a medical practitioner to deliver your treatments, you can check their qualification online. The website that you will visit will depend on their qualification. For example for nurses you will check the Nursing and Midwifery Council, for Doctors you will need to check the General Medical Council and for Dentists, you will need to check the General Dental Council.

In order to have certain injectables, you will require a medical practioner to prescribe your medical. The reason for this, are that some medications are what we call POMs. Which means prescription only medicine. Where POMs haven't been prescribed for you, you should ask yourself, how is this medication arriving at the place where you're being treated and is it a genuine traceable prescription drug.
When searching the register for your practitioner, you will be able to see if their registration is still active, and whether or not they are a prescriber. Not all medical professionals have to be a prescriber to treat you, however, you will need to be seen by your prescriber in order for an assessment and a prescription to take place.
